St. Paul’s United Church

Children & Youth Programs

"Our Mission is to celebrate all people as children of God, believing that diversity should be met with respect and love. We seek to provide our children, youth and young adults with a meaningful spiritual foundation to guide them as they grow and mature in their lifelong faith journeys.

Discovery Kids

Discovery Kids is a Sunday gathering for children aged 3 to 10. It is a time for the children to gather together and enlighten their young minds to the values of our Christian tradition. We join in song, play, story, crafts, games, and more. All children are welcome.

Discovery Kids Updates
June 9 will be our final day of Discovery Kids programming until we return in the fall. Remember, throughout the summer, families are always welcome to go up to the playroom in the Room of Requirement if children need a space to play. You can turn on the television in the playroom for the live stream of the service. We will be hosting our “DK “Sundaes on Sunday” on Sunday June 9. To celebrate the friendships that have  formed and all the ways we have learned and grown in faith this year, all Discovery Kids are invited to join us after worship on June 9th for an ice cream celebration.

Thank You from Faith Formation. It is wonderful to see the increase in numbers of our children and young families at St. Paul’s. The Faith Formation Committee would like to say, THANK YOU for making this place feel welcoming to our children and youth. Parents have told us that their kids look forward to being at church with us on Sundays. The children feel a sense of belonging and ownership here and that is beautiful! You contribute to making this place feel welcoming, safe, familiar and fun for our youngest parishioners. Thank you a million for recognizing and fostering an honoured place for them in our community. It really makes a difference when children are celebrated and included.

Camp Awesome

Every summer, we have Camp Awesome, here at the church.  There are lots of activities including stories, games, music, snacks and great fun.  More pictures on the Gallery page.

One grandparent’s comment “What a wonderful week they had with the U of T students as we could certainly tell by their shouts of laughter, beaming smiles of pride with crafts produced and the friendships they made.”

Camp Awesome this year is from August 12-16. More details will follow but be sure to know it’s always an AWEsome time.

Our Youth Group is a chance for the teens and tweens in our congregation to meet. We plan special events like community outings, activism, leadership activities, and more. We invite our youth to explore our community and world from the perspective of Jesus’ values and to search, question and join in discussions. We offer Junior (grades 6-8) and Senior grades 9-12) Youth Groups!
