2016
The Toronto Conference of the United Church of Canada will hold their AGM in Midland on May 27-28th, this year. St Paul's will host this event for the next three years. With three to four hundred delegates in attendance, this will have significant positive economic impact on our town and St. Paul’s United Church.  The organizing team at St Paul’s is chaired by Marlis Dupuis and includes  Zena Pendlebury, Louise Leck, Don Penrose, Ken Woods, Ron Neville  and Terry MacPherson.  They have been  working very hard over the past twelve months to set up all logistical support for the meetings including parking services,  hospitality volunteers,  signage, assistants in all meetings areas, AV and IT operations, refreshments, snacks, catering of meals,  and live streaming of the proceedings on the internet.

The main portion of the conference will take place at the Midland Recreation Centre (NSSRC) with 100 volunteers and ambassadors of all ages from our church and the community greeting and welcoming delegates, providing parking support,  refreshments and nibbles during the day and other services to assist the Conference leaders and delegates.  At 6pm on Saturday evening over 600 people are expected to attend the final closing event, a Celebration of Ministries Church Service at St. Paul’s United Church.
